We do have some offices throughout the world, though we all primarily work from wherever we feel most comfortable, and most productive. Being globally distributed, serving a global audience, affords us local people with local insights.We're impressed by outcomes, not hours.
Work hard, but don’t overwork, it’s easy to get in that trap and think that working longer means you’re being productive. Make time for your family and friends. You’re of more value to the crew, when you’re whole & balanced.Don't stand still. Grow.
Regardless of where you start with us, you should always strive to grow beyond your role, and to expand your skill set. If we’re not growing, we’re dying. If you are not committed to betterment, it’s kind of a deal breaker.Over-communicate, be tawkative.
Best advice we can give you to succeed here, is when you need help, ask. And over-communicate. Talk more often than usual. Remote teams need to make more of an effort to keep in touch, and it pays dividends when we do.If you want to lead, learn to serve.

How do we ship product?
Every day we get to build an array of awesome systems at scale, including search, concurrency, content organization, real-time metrics, deployment, and event-driven, low-latency, concurrent apps.
We focus on fast, iterative development (over 400+ deployments just this month), and collaborative, interactive programming.
We work in small cross-functional teams of 3-6 crew that rely on one another to champion their project goals and in setting their own priorities are expected to build and deploy initiatives quickly, autonomously and iteratively.
Competitive Remuneration
Being remote, we get the pick of the bunch. You get paid well and fairly, and we get to hire based on merit, not proximity. Fair is a good thing.
Training & Upskilling
You’re probably going to learn most from your mistakes, then from your peers, then from the annoying (but necessary) tutorials we put you through.
